Roadside VOL.1 - Blockades is a street-level barrier kit that comes with 32 meshes, each of the 16 unique blockades provided in both nanite and low poly builds. The set is aimed at realistic AAA visual quality while keeping the assets workable across game-oriented projects. All of the included assets, maps, and materials are created in Unreal Engine, so the kit is ready to drop into a UE5 pipeline without translation or conversion steps. The meshes cover a spread of concrete roadblocks, walls, dividers, and stop structures, all sharing a consistent style that reads cleanly in military, town, and shooter scenarios.

Nanite and Low Poly Versions for Every Blockade

Every one of the 16 mesh designs has a dedicated nanite build and a low poly build. The nanite versions are constructed to take advantage of high-fidelity polycounts, making them suitable for shots that demand dense surface detail or close camera work. The low poly versions offer a lighter alternative when the scene needs to stay efficient, whether for wider gameplay spaces, mobile constraints, or simply preserving performance headroom elsewhere in the level.

Because the pack ships both versions of every mesh, artists can switch between them depending on the moment. A hero roadblock at a checkpoint could use the nanite mesh for a hero shot, while a long line of identical barriers stretching down a highway could use the low poly versions without noticeable divergence. The split is evenly handled: 16 nanite meshes and 16 low poly meshes make up the total.

Material Setup with 4K Textures and Channel-Packed Maps

Texture quality is set at 4K for high fidelity, and the material system is based on a master setup that controls the majority of props and models. That master material places roughness, albedo, and normal controls at the artist's fingertips, allowing changes to be propagated across many assets at once. A few extra adjustments are available for fine-tuning surfaces, making it feasible to keep every concrete surface visually consistent while still breaking up monotony with localized changes.

The surface maps are channel-packed, with Roughness, Metalness, and Ambient Occlusion combined into the same texture channels. That packing method cuts down on texture sample count and memory load, which aligns with the pack's game-optimized focus. Since the materials are all handled through a shared setup, the blockades integrate quickly into an existing project and can be adapted to match the art direction of a specific level rather than forcing a pre-baked look.

Tintable Paint Colors and Custom Labels

Several of the blockades appear in painted finishes, and those paint colors are tintable. That makes it straightforward to shift from a standard construction-site orange to a military green, police blue, or any other palette required by the scene. Since the branding and labels are entirely custom-made, the pack carries no legal concerns about real-world trademarks or recognizable corporate logos. The custom labels act as generic street or warning markers that fit fictional environments cleanly.

The models themselves are fully detailed from all sides. This matters for roadside objects because they are often placed in open ground where players or cameras can approach from any angle. A wall or barrier that is only finished on one side would break the illusion when viewed from behind, but the set is built to remain convincing around the whole silhouette.

Street-Level Combat and Checkpoint Assembly

The included tag list points directly at common use cases: street, divider, structure, stone, stop, shooter, town, concrete, road, block, wall, rectangle, architecture, military, stonewall. That mix of keywords suggests the blockades can be arranged into defensible positions, vehicle checkpoints, urban barricades, or simple roadside debris. The visual language leans on concrete and stone, so the pieces do not look out of place in a structured environment. A roadblock can be stacked with other pieces to create a taller cover line, or spread out across a lane to force vehicles to slow down or reroute.

For shooter-oriented levels, these meshes do the work of defining sightlines and protected spaces without requiring custom geometry. Because the pack includes walls and dividers alongside the more compact blockades, a dense street fight can be staged with only a few variations. The low poly versions allow many instances to be scattered with minimal impact on draw calls or memory, while the nanite versions preserve fine edges and cracks for scenes where the camera gets close.

Lumen Support and Post-Processing for Unreal Engine 5

The product supports Lumen for Unreal Engine 5.0 and newer, opening the door to the engine's dynamic global illumination and reflections. The assets are shaped to take advantage of that lighting system, with surface detail that responds naturally to indirect light. In addition to the asset materials, the pack includes a realistic post-process setup and a Look Up Table, so developers can get a grounded cinematic look without building a custom grading stack from scratch.

The pack is optimized for games, which is reinforced by the channel-packed textures, the shared master material, and the dual-mesh strategy.
