Resource overview

Solving Interior Dressing and Illumination Bottlenecks

Populating indoor levels with varied, realistic illumination sources often requires balancing heavy polycounts against strict performance limitations.

Built by Dekogon Studios artists directly inside Unreal Engine, Lighting VOL.2 - Interior targets realistic AAA visuals, environmental style, and scene budgets. The collection contains 128 meshes organized across interior light fixtures, lampshades, electrical decor, and decorative props. Rather than locking developers into a single rendering path, the package splits its mesh count directly between Nanite geometry and standard low poly variants for each included model, ensuring consistent visual language regardless of target hardware limitations.

Nanite Geometry Alongside Low Poly Variants

The library provides two distinct mesh representations for every prop to suit contrasting optimization requirements.

With 128 total meshes split evenly between Nanite-enabled models and traditional low poly assets, environment artists can tailor geometry handling per shot or platform. Nanite versions leverage dense polycounts to capture smooth curvatures, stamped metal edges, and micro-bevels on lamps, wiring, and fixtures without relying entirely on normal map approximation. When working within strict memory constraints or non-Nanite rendering pipelines, the included low poly counterparts retain the overall silhouette and structural detail while keeping polygon budgets controlled across expansive multi-room interior maps.

Texture Fidelity and Channel-Packed Material Controls

High-fidelity surfacing is driven by 4K texture sets linked to an adaptable master material structure.

Surface responses are handled through channel-packed textures containing Roughness, Metalness, and Ambient Occlusion data, minimizing texture sample calls across scenes. The underlying master material setup controls the majority of models and props, exposing dedicated parameters for roughness, albedo color, normals, and additional surface details. This lets technical artists adjust surface wear, shift baseline albedo tones to complement surrounding decor, or tweak roughness values on metallic fittings without generating separate shader instances from scratch.

Emissive States, Lumen Bounces, and the Fan Blueprint

Interactive lighting in modern pipelines requires fixtures that can switch operational states on demand.

The materials include dedicated emissive controls to turn lights on or off within a level, giving level designers control over unpowered, moody, or fully active environments. Built to support Lumen in Unreal Engine 5.0 and above, these emissive surfaces cast indirect bounce light and diffuse color across nearby surfaces automatically. For motion within the environment, an included Fan Blueprint drives an animated, spinning ceiling fan, combining dynamic mechanical motion with shifting light and shadow interplay across ceilings and floors.

Original Branding for Commercial Scene Staging

Everyday decor elements often carry labels and branding that present legal obstacles if taken from real-world products.

All branding, text, and labels across these fixtures, switches, and decorative accents were custom made by Dekogon Studios. This ensures the entire set remains free of intellectual property complications, making it suitable for realistic contemporary spaces, vintage decor, or post-collapse and apocalyptic settings. Artists can freely stage realistic apartments, industrial corridors, or abandoned interiors using authentic-feeling commercial graphics without legal friction.

Fitting Lighting VOL.2 into Production Workflows

The collection integrates naturally into layout, lighting passes, and hero prop placement.

By uniting Nanite fidelity, standard low poly alternatives, 4K channel-packed maps, and out-of-the-box Lumen support, Lighting VOL.2 - Interior functions as a direct toolkit for architectural visualization, narrative games, and cinematic environments in Unreal Engine. Whether populating an active living space with warm table lamps or dressing a dim, apocalyptic room with dormant fixtures, the assets provide practical flexibility across all stages of interior level construction.
