Constructing Nightlife Spaces from Rooftops to Underground Venues

Nightlife spaces demand a distinct balance of architectural layout, ambient atmosphere, and tight interior dressing. POLYGON - Nightclubs targets this specific environment category, supplying the structural and decorative assets needed to assemble upscale VIP rooftop lounges, cozy rooftop dining terraces, neon-saturated dance venues, or gritty dive bars setup for stand-up comedy gigs. The collection features four pre-configured club scenes that demonstrate how these varied venues can be laid out, serving as practical templates for custom level construction.

Because the scope of evening entertainment spans everything from polished cocktail establishments to cluttered underground haunts, the collection balances pristine contemporary furnishings with worn, cluttered venue details. Developers can stage multi-level dance clubs complete with elevated VIP areas, or tuck away cramped performers' stages behind crowded bar counters and back-alley exits.

Modular Architecture in POLYGON - Nightclubs

The structural foundation relies on 140 building pieces crafted for freeform interior and exterior level design. A base set of building walls and structural cores pairs with specialized architectural components. Designers can build multi-story layouts using structural floors, ceilings, pillars, trims, and feature walls designed to establish focal points behind bars or stages.

Verticality and transit between areas are handled through stairs, steps, an elevator model, fire escapes, and modular walkways. Exterior and transitional zones leverage outdoor pergolas, awnings, curtains, and railings, enabling developers to build open-air rooftop terraces overlooking urban skylines or enclosed dance rooms hemmed in by heavy architectural framing.

Populating the Floor with Props, DJ Gear, and Themed Decor

Interior dressing makes up the largest segment of the asset set, comprising 583 props that address service areas, seating, performance equipment, and club clutter. Service counters can be assembled using modular bar units, backed by fridges, shelving, point-of-sale terminals, racks, kegs, bottles, cocktail sets, glassware, mats, coasters, and sinks. For dining and lounging areas, the set supplies modular sofas, benches, stools, chairs, tables, bean bags, rugs, cushions, and pillows.

Performance and entertainment spaces utilize dedicated stage gear and novelty props. Audio setups can be assembled with DJ gear, speakers, microphones, and overhead truss equipment. Venues can be configured around specific themes using dance poles, dartboards, trophy displays, screens, televisions, flags, neon signs and shapes, sculptures, and a mechanical bull. The dance floor itself can be anchored by a central disco ball or framed with stanchions and crowd dividers.

To ground these environments in realistic grit, the prop library also incorporates detailed micro-props and discarded items. Restrooms can be outfitted with urinals, toilets, and sanitation items, while cleaning equipment, bins, ashtrays, cigarettes, cans, boxes, crates, and loose paper trash help show the aftermath of a busy operating night. Personal props like coats, bags, purses, wallets, pills, and an inhaler add environmental storytelling across tables and lost-and-found counters.

Characters and Customization for Nightlife Roles

Venues require both staff and patrons to feel functional. The collection includes eight character models divided across core venue responsibilities: a male bartender, a female bartender, a male bouncer, three female partygoers, and two male partygoers. These characters serve as base models for populating queues, bar tops, and dance areas.

To prevent uniform crowds, 26 character attachments are included for rapid visual alteration. These modular accessories consist of varied beards, earrings, pairs of glasses, hairstyles, and hats. Applying these attachments across the base patron meshes allows developers to vary crowd appearances across distinct venue rooms or different levels of dress code, while staff characters can be differentiated between entrance security and behind-the-bar service.

Atmospheric FX and Backdrop Environments

Lighting and atmospheric haze define the mood of club scenes. The kit contains 18 visual effects assets designed to simulate dance-floor lighting rigs and indoor ambiance. These include laser fixtures, laser lights, fog, a smoke machine model, spotlights, lightray shapes, and fire effects. These tools allow designers to build active stage lighting sweeps, dim perimeter moods, or smoke-filled dance pits.

To establish exterior context outside windows or from open rooftop decks, 41 environment assets are provided. These backdrop models include background city structures, street meshes, crane silhouettes, distant background cars, and atmospheric skydome and cloud components. These surrounding assets prevent rooftop clubs and venue entryways from feeling isolated, anchoring the indoor scenes inside a broader cityscape.

Production Role and Scene Integration

Within a stylized 3D workflow, POLYGON - Nightclubs functions as an all-in-one kit for indoor gathering spaces, social hubs, and dialogue scenes. Because the structural modules conform to the same visual guidelines as other Synty releases, the kit integrates smoothly alongside the POLYGON - City Pack to construct full urban blocks where players transition directly from street sidewalks into indoor bars, rooftop cocktail parties, or back-alley music venues.
