Resource overview

Creating a suburban neighborhood in an engine is rarely about one house. A single residence can read as a prop. A street with houses, roads, cars, planted yards, lamps, and electric poles reads as a place. The Suburb Neighborhood House Pack (Modular) brings that context together with modular housing, outdoor street pieces, interior furniture, and a pre-made map.

A house system that can stay small or rise into multiple levels

The housing portion of the pack is modular and includes both interior and exterior parts. In one build, the same modules can be arranged into a huge multi-story house. In another, they can sit together as a small cabin. The intended range is visible in the pack's own summary: you are not limited to one structure type or footprint. Instead, the same modular wall, floor, and roof logic can produce a sprawling building with several floors or a compact one-story place, and it can also stop anywhere between those two points.

Because interiors are mentioned alongside exteriors, the assembled houses are not just empty shells. Each building can take shape around actual rooms, and those rooms are ready for the furniture props later in the set. That matters when a scene asks for the player or camera to move from the street into a building rather than simply observing the facade from far away. A modular house that can be extended upward and outward makes it easier to populate a variety of plots across a neighborhood without switching to a completely different asset library.

Roads, vegetation, and street furniture for a full block

Houses alone do not establish a neighborhood context. The pack fills that gap with a road system and a group of street and yard props: trees, bushes, flowers, mailboxes, cars, lamps, and electric poles. These are common elements of a suburban street, and having them in the same package as the modular houses lets the environment move forward as one unit.

A straight or winding road layout can be placed first, or houses can find their positions before the road is put in. Either way, the ancillary props give the street depth. Trees, bushes, and flowers create the green layer between buildings, while mailboxes sit closer to the edge of a property. Lamps and electric poles add regularly spaced vertical structure along the road, and cars complete the expected street view from the driver's side or the front curb. When the same components are repeated across a block, the modular set starts to feel like a cohesive residential district rather than a scattering of unrelated items.

Interior furniture that gives rooms a purpose

A house that allows entry usually wants furniture on the inside. The pack includes interior furniture like beds, chairs, tables, and paintings, all typical of the places within a residence. The bed defines a sleeping area. Chairs and tables signal a living or dining room. Paintings give interior wall surfaces something to look at when the camera steps inside.

These props are especially useful in multi-story homes, where several rooms need to be differentiated without new architectural content. A lower floor can take a small table and chairs, an upper floor can hold bedrooms with beds, and the open walls in any floor can receive paintings. Because the furniture comes with the same modular pack, there is no need to import a separate interior kit and align it with the arranged house module. The interior prop set is meant to work within the structures produced by the same system.

Pre-built day and night map when you want to skip the build

Not every production step leaves time to assemble a full neighborhood by hand. The pack accounts for this by including a map already created for you, supplied as day and night versions. This avoids the construction phase entirely for artists who need an immediate suburban street.

The daytime map presents the whole scene under bright, sunlit conditions. The night version takes the same assembled layout and shifts its presentation to after dark, which gives street lamps, cars, and window shapes a different visual role. The map is useful as a first view of the asset, as a background for screenshots, or as a base level to modify after comparing the two time-of-day options. For those who do want to build eventually, the pre-built map is also a reference for what the modular pieces can become when arranged side by side.

ENUM-based modular blueprints: the compatibility note to know first

A technical detail in the rig affects how this pack can be used. The modular construction blueprints rely on ENUMs to organize the placement and selection of modular pieces. That approach is convenient inside Unreal Engine, but it has a clear constraint: it does not work with UEFN. If the delivery target is UEFN, this pack will not function. For a standard UE5 project, the setup note is specific: go to Project Settings and turn 'Allow Static Lightning' On.

The setting is small, but it should not be skipped. Checking it before placing the modular pieces saves time later, since the pack is structured through a blueprint system that depends on that project configuration. The key takeaway is to separate UE5 work from UEFN work: keep this asset for a normal Unreal Engine project, and make sure the static lightning project setting is enabled during the import and construction phase.

A residential street made from this pack can move from an empty plot to a lived-in block through two routes. The first route is manual: take the modular house system and assemble anything from a single cabin to a large multi-story house, then place the road, vegetation, and furniture around it. The second route is faster: open the included day or night map and start from a complete environment. The main setup condition remains the same for both paths, and it is easier to handle before the modular builds begin.
