Five Axes Built for Close-Combat Scenes

The package contains five individual axe designs, each with its own triangle and vertex counts. The topology stays lean across the board, which matters when multiple weapons need to appear on screen simultaneously or when a character swaps gear mid-animation.

The specific counts break down as follows:

  • Axe 1: 1,150 tris / 1,041 verts
  • Axe 2: 1,446 tris / 1,364 verts
  • Axe 3: 1,850 tris / 1,740 verts
  • Axe 4: 1,188 tris / 762 verts
  • Axe 5: 2,178 tris / 1,377 verts

Axe 4 sits at the lowest tri count with 1,188, while Axe 5 reaches the highest at 2,178. The range gives teams a choice between lighter and slightly more detailed options depending on the shot, the distance from the camera, or the performance budget of the scene.

Rigged Versions and Epic Skeleton Scaling

Every axe includes a rigged version. This means the weapons are not just static props; they can be attached to characters, animated during swings, or positioned in sheaths and holsters without requiring additional rigging work downstream.

The props are scaled to the Epic Skeleton. For any project already using Unreal Engine's default Mannequin or a character built to that proportion, the axes drop in at the correct size. No manual rescaling is needed before placement in a character's hand or on a weapon rack.

Texture Resolutions from 512 to 4096

Each axe ships with texture variations at four resolutions: 512 × 512, 1024 × 1024, 2048 × 2048, and 4096 × 4096. That gives the same mesh four options for balancing visual fidelity against memory cost. A background weapon rack can use 512 × 512 textures, while a hero prop held in a close-up cutscene can switch to 4096 × 4096.

The pack includes 60 textures total across five materials. All meshes are UV unwrapped, so the textures map cleanly onto the geometry without stretching or overlapping artifacts. Physically Based Rendering (PBR) is enabled, meaning the materials respond to lighting, roughness, and metalness in a way that integrates with modern PBR pipelines.

Blueprints, Meshes, and Collision

The package is not just a collection of raw assets. It includes 17 Blueprints, which means a significant portion of the drop-in functionality is already assembled inside Unreal Engine. These Blueprints could cover anything from weapon attachment logic to swap mechanics, though the exact behavior of each Blueprint is defined by the setup within the pack itself.

On the mesh side, the pack contains 10 meshes in total. That number accounts for the five base axes plus the five rigged versions, giving teams both static and animation-ready options without needing to duplicate work.

Automatic collision is generated for the meshes. This is a practical detail for any scene where weapons need to rest on surfaces, be picked up, or interact with the environment. The collision is already calculated, reducing the setup steps required before the axes can be placed in a level.
