Blood clouds, explosions, fire bursts, smoke loops, sparkles, lightning variations, and water splashes are all part of the set, so the range covers both aggressive action scenes and lighter spell or atmosphere work.

The package is fully and easily customizable, which matters when the same effect needs to feel different from one project to another. It also includes a Pixelate function for adjusting the look of the flipbooks to match a game’s visual style. That makes it easier to push the effects toward a sharper, more stylized presentation without changing the overall workflow.

Another useful detail is that all visual effects come with sound effects too. The SFX can be used as needed, so the pack is not limited to the visual layer alone.

Effect groups that cover a wide range of scenes

The pack includes a long list of effect types, and the names make the intended usage clear. There are blood effects such as Blood Cloud, Blood Drops, Blood Explosion, Blood Impact, Blood Orb, Blood Projectile, and Blood Splats. For combat and weapon moments, it also includes Impacts, Blood Impacts, Magic Impacts, Muzzle Flashes, Muzzle Smoke, Slashes, Slash Poison, and Slash Fire.

Elemental and magical scenes are covered through Charge, Magical Explosions, Fire Explosions, Poison Explosions, Fire Burst, Fire Charge, Fire Smoke, Fire Loop, Flame Burst, Poison Burst, Poison Loop, Poison Projectile, Poison Puffs, Toxic Orb, and Sparkles. Dust and atmospheric effects are also present, including Directional Dust, Omnidirectional Dust, Dust Puffs, and Smoke Loop.

Movement and hit-response moments are supported by Water Drops, Water Ground Splashes, Water Main Splashes, Water Orb, Water Splash Variants, Explosions, and 6 Shrapnel variations. The set also includes 10 Lightning variations, which adds more room for dramatic attacks or magical strikes. Altogether, the pack contains more than 70 VFX, including variants.

How the flipbook setup is handled

This pack uses custom flipbook shaders and adds shaders that support 2D render pipeline features. The shaders were made with Amplify Shader Editor. That setup keeps the implementation centered on.shader files and Shuriken Particle Systems.

There is no VFX Graph support yet and no Shader Graph support yet. That makes the package a clear fit for projects that stay with Shuriken rather than moving to those other workflows. If a project already uses Shuriken Particle Systems, the effect set lines up with that approach directly.

The shaders also make recoloring practical. Elements can be adjusted to fit the needs of a project, so the same base effect can be pushed toward different palettes without changing the core structure.

Compatibility and project fit

Flipbook VFX – URP is compatible with URP, and the render pipeline support is listed for 2020.3.14f1, 2021.3.0f1, 2022.3.0f1, 2023.1.0f1, and 6000.0.23f1, all with URP. The original Unity version is 2020.3.14, and the supported Unity versions include 2020.3.14, 2021.3.0, 2022.3.0, 2023.1.0, and 6000.0.23.

The package type is a unitypackage, and the file size is 46.9 MB. It includes 848 assets, with technical details listing 20 Flipbooks, 137 Materials, and 135 Textures. Texture size is 2048×2048. The release notes mention WebGL Shaders.

Those details point to a package that is ready for a URP project and still leaves room for visual adjustment through recoloring, pixelation, and the included shader setup. The mix of effect types is broad enough for action-heavy scenes, while the use of Shuriken Particle Systems keeps the implementation straightforward for projects already using that path.
