Easy Rain allows artists to create highly-realistic rain environments using a flexible Blueprint system and Niagara particles. This tool is designed to help creators generate everything from light drizzles to stormy summer downpours in seconds. The system is optimized for both realtime games and high-quality offline rendering. Furthermore, it runs efficiently even on lower-end GPUs, making it accessible for various hardware configurations. When you use the Movie Render Queue, Easy Rain produces beautiful falling rain with realistic motion blur.

Advanced Puddle and Leak Materials

In addition to the particle systems, the developer included two specialized Material Functions. These functions allow you to add realistic puddles, leaks, and droplets to your landscapes or 3D models. The World Puddle Material Function specifically supports Nanite Tessellation and Displacement for high-fidelity results. However, the system is not dependent on Nanite to function effectively.

Artists have full control over the look of their wet surfaces. You can adjust the rippling effects and manage the overall amount of water accumulation. Moreover, Easy Rain provides settings for falloff and general breakup patterns on the puddles. This ensures that every environment feels unique and art-directed.

To ensure the best results, users must enable Mesh Distance Fields in their Project Settings. The creator provides a solution and workaround within the documentation if needed.
