Comprehensive Environment Construction
The Low Poly Military Base asset pack is designed as a complete solution for building stylized combat environments. It contains 116 distinct prefabs, allowing developers to assemble full military scenes that remain performance-optimized. The package utilizes low polygon counts and a shared color texture system specifically intended to reduce draw calls during rendering. Out of the box, the assets are compatible with the default render pipeline, High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP), and Light Weight Render Pipeline (LWRP).
Modular Infrastructure and Perimeter Defense
To establish the layout of a base, the developer has included a variety of structural assets. These include essential buildings such as barracks, tents, a hangar, and a watchtower. For modularity, the pack features tilable wall and fence sets, including open and closed variations of military fences. Foundations and specific container-style foundations allow for tiered level design.
The logistics side of the base is represented by a wide array of shipping containers. These containers come in numerous color variations including black, blue, green, grey, orange, red, and yellow, with many featuring secondary grey accents. Each standard container maintains a consistent geometry of 304 polygons. Larger infrastructure elements like gas tanks are available in multiple colors (red, white, and grey) and can be placed within specialized frames.
Mobile Units and Infantry Arsenal
The kit extends beyond stationary buildings to include a motorized fleet and infantry equipment. The vehicle selection covers ground, air, and sea operations, featuring tanks, helicopters, boats, and artillery. For scenes depicting the aftermath of combat, damaged tank models are also included. The tank bullet projectile itself is modeled at 286 polygons.
For character-driven gameplay, the pack provides five rigged characters: a General, two male soldiers, and two female soldiers. While these characters are rigged, they do not include built-in animations; however, they are designed for compatibility with free external animation libraries like Mixamo. To complement these characters, a standard infantry arsenal is provided, consisting of a machine gun, pistol, shotgun, bazooka, and grenade.
Environmental Props and Terrain Detailing
Detailing a scene is handled through a diverse collection of props and natural elements. Tactical props include sandbags, barriers, and aiming targets for training grounds, with human-shaped targets ranging between 360 and 472 polygons. For interactive elements, the pack features explosive barrels in grey, red, and yellow, each modeled at 510 polygons.
The environment can be further fleshed out with interior and exterior furniture such as bunk beds, wooden shelves, and various crates. To connect different areas of the base, the package includes tilable road sets for paved surfaces, dirt roads, and specialized tracks in the sand. Natural landscape features help blend the base into its surroundings, offering cliffs (292 polygons), various sizes of rocks (ranging from 24 to 48 polygons), grass, and multiple sandhill variations.
Technical Optimization and Prefab Data
Efficiency is a core focus of this collection. By utilizing a shared texture across various models, the pack minimizes the overhead on the GPU. The polygon counts are kept low to ensure high frame rates even in complex scenes. For example, a large environment floor section consists of 1,932 polygons, while smaller items like foundations are as low as 44 polygons. This balance makes the pack suitable for projects that require a clean, stylized aesthetic without sacrificing the detail necessary to distinguish different military zones and equipment.
