Industrial Control and Interface Assets
The Switchboard pack pro is a collection of 53 unique industrial meshes designed to populate complex technical environments. These models focus on realistic control interfaces, panels, and electrical hardware required for industrial scenes. Unlike many environmental sets that prioritize weathered or post-apocalyptic aesthetics, these assets utilize clean textures without pre-baked dirt or damage. This makes them suitable for depicting operational facilities, modern power plants, or newly constructed industrial hubs where equipment is well-maintained.
Interactive Rigging and Functional Components
A significant technical feature of this package is the inclusion of rigging for specific mechanical components. In the latest updates to the set, the creator implemented rigs for models that feature levers and buttons. This setup allows for direct animation or interaction within the engine, facilitating gameplay mechanics where a player might need to toggle switches or pull levers to activate machinery. To support this interactivity, the package also includes relevant sounds and pre-configured colliders, ensuring the objects are ready for physics-based environments immediately upon import.
Technical Fidelity and Performance Optimization
The visual quality of the pack is built around high-resolution 4096x4096px textures and high-fidelity materials. While the base resolution is high to support close-up viewing, the textures can be downscaled or converted to JPEG formats to meet specific project memory requirements. Optimization is further addressed through the inclusion of manually created Level of Detail (LOD) steps for each mesh. The polycounts are kept within a range that balances detail and performance, with the simplest components starting at 56 triangles and the most complex pieces reaching 2520 triangles.
Integration and Scene Construction
With a total asset count of 231 items—including the meshes, materials, and sounds—the pack functions as a modular toolkit for interior industrial design. The assets are compatible with Unity versions starting from 2019.3.11. Because the package includes two distinct materials and eight textures to cover the 53 models, it maintains a consistent visual language across all industrial props. This consistency is vital for developers building out large-scale factories or electrical rooms where multiple different panels and switchboards must look like part of the same unified system.
The clean aesthetic of these models provides a neutral starting point for environmental artists. Because the textures lack baked-in grime, they serve as a versatile base for projects requiring pristine conditions, while also allowing developers to apply their own procedural weathering effects if a more worn appearance is eventually needed.
