Mobile-Ready Character Geometry

Strong Man 1 is built with performance in mind, targeting projects that require low-poly characters without sacrificing visual presence. The primary character model, which includes the body, hair, beard, and various hair attachments, consists of 4,284 vertices and 7,902 triangles. This poly count is balanced for mobile platforms and scenes requiring multiple instances of the character. The asset is organized into three distinct meshes and eight prefabs, allowing for quick deployment within the Unity environment.

Texture Mapping and Visual Variations

To support visual diversity, the package includes ten textures at a resolution of 2048×2048. These textures cover the standard PBR workflow with Albedo, Normal, Ambient Occlusion (AO), and Metallic maps. The developer has included a PSD file with specific masking, which enables developers to modify skin tones and cloth colors directly. This functionality is intended to allow for character variation within a single scene or game, providing a way to distinguish different units or NPCs using the same base model.

The visual customization extends to the character’s appearance through different hair and beard styles. The model includes ‘hair a’ and ‘hair b’ variants, which can be swapped to change the silhouette of the character. Combined with the color masking in the source PSD, these options allow for a range of distinct looks for the Strong Man archetype.

Rigging and Source Files

While the package is designed for use within Unity 2020.3.37 or later, it also provides the source Rigged Maya file. This inclusion is significant for animators who need to create custom movement sets or modify the existing skeleton outside of the engine. The character is fully rigged, though it is important to note that the package does not include pre-made animations or a demo scene. The focus of the asset is on the technical setup of the mesh and the flexibility of the rig for external animation pipelines.

Weaponry and Equipment

The Strong Man character is supported by two distinct weapon models, which follow the same low-poly design philosophy as the main character. Weapon 1 consists of 279 vertices and 513 triangles, while Weapon 2 is slightly leaner with 242 vertices and 478 triangles. These assets are scaled to fit the character’s hands and use the same texturing standards as the body model to ensure visual consistency across the entire package.

Practical Implementation

With a total asset count of 25 and a file size of 38.8 MB, the package is a lightweight solution for humanoid warrior needs. It is particularly suited for developers who already have a library of humanoid animations and require a rigged mesh that can be easily integrated. Because the package includes the source Maya files and masked PSDs, it serves as both a ready-to-use Unity prefab and a flexible base for further technical customization in external 3D software.
