Skybox Plus is a dynamic and procedural skybox solution designed to enhance the visual quality of Unity environments. It provides a beautiful, real-time system that includes animated haze and procedural clouds. Furthermore, the asset features multi-layered, hand-painted clouds that offer a distinct anime-inspired aesthetic.

Dynamic Day and Night Cycles

One of the standout features of Skybox Plus is its integrated day and night cycle. This system manages beautiful sun transitions, including vibrant dawns and sunsets. Consequently, developers can create shifting atmospheres that respond to the time of day. The package also includes dedicated stars and moon elements to complete the nocturnal experience.

Extensive Customization and Control

The developer has provided a highly customizable skybox material with a wide array of options. Users can modify procedural haze and clouds by adjusting their colors, scale, density, and rotation. Moreover, the system supports up to seven layered cubemaps. Each layer allows for individual control over transparency, horizontal and vertical positioning, and animation.

Included Resources and Stylized Assets

Skybox Plus comes equipped with a variety of ready-to-use resources to streamline the development process. The package includes two master skybox shaders: one dedicated to clouds and another that combines clouds with mountains. Additionally, there are 28 pre-configured skybox materials included for immediate implementation.

For projects requiring a specific artistic direction, the asset provides several hand-painted elements:

• 8 stylized cloud cubemaps inspired by the Studio Ghibli style.
• 3 stylized mountain landscape cubemaps.
• 1 stylized moon texture.

Technical Compatibility and Integration

Skybox Plus is built for modern workflows and is compatible with both the Built-in and Universal Rendering Pipeline (URP). It supports both Gamma and Linear color spaces to ensure visual accuracy across different project configurations. Notably, the shaders do not use global keywords, which helps maintain project performance and organization.
